Laois Civil Defence operates a state of the art mobile communications facility which is used from large scale events to search & rescue operations. The communications vehicle runs the latest in VHF, UHF, Marine and Tetra systems which allows the unit to work across many platforms.
All our UHF and Tetra devices are also GPS linked providing live mapping data of location of each member of the team. The Tetra service is part of a national secure digital network allowing us to work with multi agencies across the full country.
