Crews were out again this morning providing transport to HSE staff and patients. Our volunteer crews have attended approximately 147 calls so far since the extreme weather started. The calls were a mixture of support to staff and patients of HSE Ireland, National Ambulance Service (NAS) as well as community and logistical support to Laois County Council and An Garda Síochána. Another very busy day for all our crews. Teams out since early morning transporting hospital staff and patients to Portlaoise and Tullamore Hospitals as well as the transportation of blood test samples and community care nurses. Our 4x4 Ambulance was also tasked by the National Ambulance Service (NAS) for a number of 999 calls around the county.
